๐ณ๐ฌ The official registry for Farmcentre Kano
DeviceGuard records every phone sold at the market. Shops register each sale, buyers check any phone in seconds, and a stolen device is flagged for everyone at once.
Type the 15-digit IMEI (dial *#06# on the phone) or a DeviceGuard record ID.
How it works
At the counter, the shop enters the phone, its IMEI and the buyer. DeviceGuard makes an invoice with the shop's own logo, ready to send on WhatsApp.
The sale becomes a permanent record tied to that IMEI. Buyers can also register a phone themselves, confirmed by an SMS code.
Before you buy, check the IMEI. If the Association has confirmed it stolen, you will see it, and shops cannot sell it.

Safety and privacy
Registering a phone or transferring ownership needs a code sent to the owner's number.
Once the Association confirms a report, that IMEI can't be sold, registered or transferred.
Public checks show a shortened name like "Aminu I. M." and never a phone number or address.
PINs are stored scrambled, and repeated wrong tries lock the account for 15 minutes.
Every step on a stolen-device report records who acted and when.
A shop can read and change only its own sales and stock.
Questions
It is the 15-digit number that identifies one phone. Dial *#06# to see it, or look in Settings โ About phone. It is also printed on the box.
Not necessarily. It may have been sold before DeviceGuard, or the shop hasn't registered the sale yet. Ask the seller to register it, or register it yourself, before you pay.
Do not buy the phone. If you already did, speak to the Technicians Association of Kano at the market.
Checking a phone is free. A registry fee of โฆ75 applies when a sale or a self-registration is recorded.
Open the Customer Portal and choose Transfer Ownership. You enter the new owner's details and confirm with a code sent to your phone.
The public sees only a shortened name. The shop that sold the phone sees its own records, and the Association sees records for market oversight.
Check a phone, register one, or open your shop's dashboard.
